Taking goods out of India

I have company policy to bring goods from India via ship. Some agency is assigned to help me with this, The agency says that I can not carry any food items since it's not allowed by Govt of India, basically food items are not allowed to be exported.
However some people in the past have taken enough food items from here, within the limit of ship container and weitght... I wanted to know if any of the forum members have recently faced this issue? or just the agency is try to avoid taking these items?

Well thank you for your confidence in all of us. Unfortunately I think you will be disappointed. Maybe you can try the Indian Embassy in Berne or an Indian Forum?
