| | Re: question about Winnie the Pooh | Quote: | | | | | Guys can you mess with some other story and leave this one alone?
Bears eat honey. Nobody else does. They'd would get diabetes.
My grandad was a beekeeper, he gave honey to his dog all his long 16 years, to keep his immunity up. Dog died late, but with diabetes.
Shepard was a fab artist. Disney killed Winnie the Pooh, makes me want to puke. | | | | | I'm with you MusicChick. I grew up within a mile of Pooh Bridge and AA Milne's House. A school friend of mine lived in the sweet shop in the village that is now the Pooh corner shop.
More useless information: My Mum used to babysit AA Milne's son, Christopher, AKA Christopher Robin. AA Milne's house, Cotchford Farm, was purchased by Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones. He drowned in the swimming pool there.
Any more you need to know, apart from the original question? |

Any more you need to know, apart from the original question? | | | | | You serious? This is so cool...I was glad when Disney realized they killed Winnie the Pooh and started pushing the old designs as well. It is still miniscule as opposed to the omnipresent corny ugly Disney Pooh, but at least you see it every now and then.
So, Christopher is a bit older than you? He is the never aging child of our times, it's so nicely done. Better than the little prince.
Milne was a smart, poetic man. Shepard was fab, too. I love how well the characters portray different attitudes in life, it's been formative for so many generations of kids. My folks couldn't have it since it was imperialist, but my generation was allowed, due to the humane spirit behind the stories...The translators have worked on it for so long, before the commies allowed it, though.
Now...back to Eeyore. I think my fav character, so great. I wonder why Milne put him there. Nobody you know modeled for this? Or, the owl, most teachers are like her/him, forgot if it's a he or she in the original.
