Just so that we're all clear here, you do mean Swedish as spoken by Swedes in Sweden, Scandinavia and not Swiss German, right?

Haha, yes, I seem to have a fairly clear understanding of the difference between the two countries, so I really did mean Swedish. Any tips?

Now that we got that cleared up , have you looked at Berlitz ?

You might also wish to enquire with the ETH Sprachzentrum.

Since the topic is Swedish...
anyone interested in a language exchange... for example, your Swedhish for my HIGH German?
also, can anyone recommand any socializing groups to meet people from Sweden in Zürich? I read somewhere there are about 5000 Swedes in CH, but they must be hiding somewhere...

Hi Ioana,
I'm Swedish, living in Zurich and I would love to find a tandem person to help me improve my German. If you want we could exchange - I try to teach you Swedish and you help me with my German once a week or so. Let me know!
Best,
annika

Hi,
I noticed a few posts on Swedes/Swedish.
My wife (Swedish) and I (French) have been living in ZH for many years.
We have a decent Scandinavian friend network and if new Swedes feel lonely and miss hanging out with "their own" Feel free to reach out. I bet Malin will be happy to meet up and introduce to more friends and/or simply provide with tips for hangouts, etc. (I agree that Rowing club is a good start).
On another topic, I am desperately trying to learn Swedish. I know, I am married to a Swede... but it isn't that easy
I am currently looking for a native Swedish speaker able to commit to 2 hours/week and teach me Swedish. My current level is very basic.
Once taken to a further stage, I'm sure I'll be able to practice at home.. I'm just not there yet!
I can either pay or provide with French lessons in exchange if interested.
Please, contact me.
Thanks,
Emm -

After getting 4 "we regret to inform you that your selected course did not have enough participants and therefore, will not take place, however we invite you to sign up for CHF120/hr private class", I finally started classes last week at RHZ Sprachen . Let's see if I'm able to pronounce "surprise" to "min sambo" come Christmas |
