Personally, didn't like the episode too much (and I'm pretty sure those from Liverpool didn't like it either....). Hope it'll improve.

Two new records in one episode, what do you reckon, is Tiff the new Stig?

Me neither. I could not help to get the impression that the three had a lot of side projects and did not manage to film anything together during their vacation... the Yeti is an absolutely horrible looking car and I found the bit with the dogs or firemen not even entertaining, the Porsche challenge was boring (honestly, drag races are really not that exciting), the Atom V8 - wait, is that another drag race? - is not really that interesting either, the only upside was the guest. Already watching the round he drove I thought "wow, he took that corner really clean... and again... and again". Really good lap time.

I hope the make some more intersting challenges against each other next time and drive on a road that is more than a straight line.

no, new stig is thin, tiff is a bit on the lardy side now.

wouldn't suprise me one bit if 'new' stig is still 'sacked' stig. Sacked stig was still on clarksons christmas dvd

Are you suggesting that all that anger (shootings in the back and so on..) was a marketing manoeuvre for letting the stig publish his book and then live happily ever after? Mmhhhhh, very clever... or too bizarre
Since the end of the last series everybody was quite happy to underline that the new stig gives better instructions, everyone's making better laps.. Tom Cruise went on two wheels for god's sake, yet his record was trashed by a comedian.. they just might've found a better stig..

as anyone who had raced will tell you, 2 wheels, tyre screeching etc etc = slow lap

Not sure if I am in the minority but I thought it was back to a high standard last night. The formulaic "challenges" were getting really old last series. It is time they went back and actually reviewed some cars, much more entertaining than watching some of the forced comedy.
The Yeti is horrible, I think that is what Clarkson was saying.

I'm getting a bit of a vibe that Mr Clarkson is rather less than impressed with the new electronics-R-us offering from Ferranti

And I'm regrettably less than impressed with another very predictable episode...
What's with Ferranti instead of Ferrari, was that intentional?

At the risk of being told to keep off this thread (or other words to that effect), I found it amusing to see how big Clarkson's and May's paunches have grown! Okay, am outta here!

I'm guessing the poster was making a play on words. Ferranti was an electronics/electrical engineering company, back in the day in the UK. They were quite big in their time.

Whoa, they really let the Mexicans have it during the last episode. I'm usually all for politically incorrect humor, but they piled on and on. It was as uncomfortable as being around a racist relative during family reunions.

I don't think Mexicans watch the show, but I do know that Americans do watch it, and I spoke with some, they're not that happy about the constant stereotypes the trio use, but that's just what they do To be fair they are pretty hard on the UK as well.. if anyone needs a set of 19" BBS CH alloys Liverpool is the place to go....

I must say, I loved the battered old Transit with the XJ220 engine in the back .
The look on Hamster's face was pricelss.
