Just a heads up that the new series of Top Gear starts on Sunday 23rd Jan BBC2 and BBC2HD as well as BBC i-player.

Can't wait. Seen a few clips and it looks pretty good.

Can't wait. I hope they'll get over the Stig leaving, I mean, they certainly have as he was the one who got more to lose, but I just hope they won't go on about it too much, the bit where they shot him in the back was a bit over the top..

I love captain slow and his toys.. they need a sensible person to make fun of, those two other muppets..
Anyway, brilliant show, was judged best of the decade a while ago if I'm not mistaken. They are now watched all over the globe, and don't they know it..

It looked to me they are giving the "new stig" a very marginal role compared to what the stig had before, probably rightly so

Has someone worked out how to access the i-player (outside of UK), without telling me?
Is it something a simpleton can do? Or does it require loads of additional software downloads, and program manipulation?

*Gasp*

How dare you say that? Cap'n Slow is the best thing about the show. Must rememeber to record the series this time. I missed a bunch last time and had to find torrents for a lot of them.

Ther're often repeated the same week on BBC3 (after 8.00pm). You'll have to check the schedule on-line, as Cablecom still doesn't list BBC3 on their OS guide. Failing that BBC Entertainment (formerly BBC Prime) usually have them on a bit later in the year.

Re: The New 2011 Top Gear series is nearly upon us

Question: Are there some dvd set on sale in Britain where I could catch up on some missed series?

I think the 3 work really well as a team and frankly think that James May is the more sensible person of all 3 of them. I do however find Richard Hammond a tad bit too superficial (maybe it's just me ).
