Nope, far from that
You're making this up arent you!
There cannot be 1.5 hens and 1.5 eggs, unless you are in poultry business and trying to BS your banker.
Or if you're a German Project Manager, trying to improve effeciency.

I used to do that in my old line of work ( not with hens in particular)
It was nice remembering the days where I had to push operators to work and kept walking around production floor all goddamn day.
(I say "nice remembering" cause I ain't doing it again!!)

That would really be BSing the banker.

What about this one?
If 1.5 hens lay 1.5 eggs in 1.5 days, how many eggs do 9 hens lay in 9 days?
Isn't it proportional ?
there would be 9 eggs.
1 egg per hen per day
This is like that stupid riddle:
"if a rooster stand on a cone shaped roof with a strong wind blowing from west. The rooster is facing west. What direction will the egg roll down?"

Its just a simple logic man, 1.5 hens lay 1.5 egg(.s) so 1 hen lays 1 egg. 9 hens would lay 9 eggs in 1.5 day.
So 9 eggs would get laid by 9 hens in 9/1.5 hen days, which is equal to 54. But the banker would'nt know that

it is not 1:1 ratio

Not supid
What confuses many people is that there are two factors that change (hens, days).

doesn't that depend on the angle of the roof?
(and assuming that it is a sex changed rooster)

Re: a riddle because I'm bored.
Ok Lunch time special:
A fruit vendor had 50 oranges to sell.
He sold 26 oranges @ 2 oranges for $1
Later in the afternoon he sold 24 oranges @ 3 oranges for $1
End of the day he sold 50 oranges for $21.
Next day he decided to sell 50 oranegs at flat rate of 5 oranges for $2.
End of day he sold 50 oranges for $20.
Where's the $1?
Hope I got it right in a hurry
