The assumption being that your sibblings are picking on you already, right?
lol of course, that's part of the training process

But that's the thing... you don't need to give them time or worry about them ... you only spend time with the eldest and youngest one.... because the eldest doesn't have anyone to play with or pick on and the youngest one is picked on by all of them..... no need to worry about the rest.... they strike a good balance

P.S. Janite -- Considering that I'm reading this at 3 in the morning... I think my laughter was loud enough to have woken up at least a couple of my neighbors

Janite, your writing is absolutely hilarious

Yasmina, sweet message, I'm guessing though that you perhaps have not yet started a family ? We all want 10 kids until we start

3's a grand number, so is 2 and 4. All options are better than 1, for the child himself
1 is too lonely for the long run. I notice that my very independent social teen loves to have friends who come from large families with lots of noise and ruckus. Though he loves having lots of attention at home, I've always encouraged him to have a bunch of other kids around him.

It's in Migros, just between the brown sugar and the dishwater tablets.

you flatter me Sky, but it isn't my writing unfortunately. It was forwarded me by my SIL who lives in Texas. But it's hilarious none the less. It's funny because it's true. BTW the Clorox is Javel if I remember correctly. I take no responsibility from this moment on.....

Re: Having 3 or more kids is a really good idea because.....

I think the most important aspect of having more than one child is the benefits the children gain. Siblings have such a strong effect on one another, playing a very important role in how they grow up and the type of person they become. The relationship that siblings have are much stronger and deeper than any other kind. I think it is important for everyone to have something like that and be able to grow up taking care of each other in a different way than a parent can.

I have a little girl, but I often think what life might be like with more than one. Everybody has different opinions of course, but there seems to be a lot of people who think it's not right to have 'just' one. I've been told many times since I've been a mum that I *HAVE* to have at least one more because its not fair on my daughter. I see many mums and dads with 2 or more kids and they are so great at it, it always makes me happy, but at the same time, I see parents who look like they just can't handle it. So I think to myself that if I would like to give all the time I can to help her feel secure, confident and sharing, then I will be happy. Not by having another one so she's got a life time friend. Life doesn't always work that way.

I have an older sister, but I have much better friends who are closer than my sister to me. It's really interesting to see your post, it's so important to me that my daughter has a lot of people around.
