Cost cutting measures - Your opinion?

A heard today that the BBC has axed the Electric Proms as a cost-saving measure. Link

Many organisations are having to make cuts in services to balance the books.

If you were wielding the axe, which organisation would you start with, and what services would you cut?

Re: Cost cutting measures - Your opinion?

In the UK, for example, 6% of the population in 2003 possessed over 60% of the wealth.

Over 60%.

Seen from space, man.

Re: Cost cutting measures - Your opinion?

I was sad to hear the cuts to the web service they offer. The BBC web site is an ambassador for the UK.

Removing housing from the definition of wealth, 6% of the population possess over 90% of the UKs wealth.

Imagine that was a department.
