geneva's drinks

As the thread as been closed....

I wanted to organize once or twice a month a drink to meet people in Geneva, but what has been written in the last I've made is just telling me "don't do it".

I understand what people wrote, but it has actually nothing to do with my problems (which are under control).

I just want to say that if I didn't turn to the drink, it was because I misunderstood a verb, due to my bad English. Just a verb I didn't understand in the way it was used. That's all. It was just too late when I read what Odile wrote about it.

Just that.

I have a rich social life now, thank you, and I wanted to share it with you, in Geneva.

But now I'm no more sure.

Have a nice day.

The private message function is a brilliant idea.

Have you ever thought of using it?

Correct, but it was written in a thread and then readable publicly.

I have the right to answer publicly too.

@gata : you can write what you want, I don't care.

I'm not sure now. I was just saying I was sorry to have made a mistake.

This thread was perhaps a bad idea. But I believe it's not the first.

Re: geneva's drinks

I'm not angry. not at all.

I had some project to do some nice stuff in Geneva, drinks, cinémas, restaurants, picnics, walks, visit of the town with a bit of history

Something has gone bad and, well, I don't understand.

Re: geneva's drinks

Of course I've had misunderstandings. I just don't let them crush me. I don't blame the person I misunderstood, and then punish them for it.

well, you're right. I'm just an IDIOT.

add : I think I will talk about that with my psychiatrist. It seems I've still got some problems....

Stop it now!
Just think a bit more about your reactions. You judge us by a set of rules we haven't even read. We can only hurt you if you let us have that role.

Re: geneva's drinks

My last comment here. Just to say that as a French speaker, I can understand how Bertrand thought that 'I don't expect him to be there' - was a negative comment which read 'I hope he won't be there'- hence the fact he took offense. I did warn him, but sadly he didn't see my message on time.
A great pity all round. Nasty comments at this stage serve little purpose, so I hope it will stop. I'm sure he understands he has made a mistake and that organising events is not is Forte. Forgive and forget - let go. Please.
Merci.
