The Science of Smooching: Why Men and Women Kiss Differently

So, next time you hear someone say - "it's all about chemistry" - you better believe it.

From an article in the Time Healthland by Feifei Sun:

"Fifty-nine percent of men and 66 percent of women say they have ended a budding relationship because of a bad kiss. It turns out that our sense of smell may be partially responsible as we pick up subconscious clues about the other person's DNA or reproductive status. Biologist Claus Wedekind found that women are most attracted to the scent of men who have a very different genetic code immune system than their own in a region known as the major histocompatibility complex. This may be because potential children would have a higher level of genetic diversity, making them healthier and more likely to survive."

Sometimes I do wonder about these types of scientific studies but agree that "it's all about chemistry". Exactly what that "chemistry" is, however, will always be a mystery to me...

There is an exception to the rule, related to sight:

What's up with all these shrinks here lately, I so don't want to reread posts before I actually post them, argh....making me all....consious, hahaha.

Anyways. Of course there is chemistry and pheromones have a lot to do with it. That theory has been around for eons. I wonder if people fall for eachother without actually smelling eachother, I guess it happens...think inet and all...How is that going to change the dynamics?

It was and it's true.

Happened to a male friend of mine who got blind drunk years ago and is still regretting it to this day ... I will leave out the why.
