I actually find Hislop a slimey little oik, but the publication itself is superb. Not read it in months though

I only pick it up from time to time when Mrs. and I are back in England... I can't think that I've ever seen it for sale here.

btw - I met mr hislop ( briefly ) and his wife ( had more time with her ) a few years ago and he's not nearly so oik'ey in person.

Sounds like you need a Private Eye subscription. I get it delivered here at no extra cost (same as the UK subscription charge). And they need the money to fight the numerous court cases brought by the rich and powerful scumbags (companies and individuals) they so superbly show-up and humiliate by detailing their malpractices, law breaking, and hypocrisy.

And let's not forget Private Eye
Britain's only newspaper free of external control, fighting to expose corruption and hypocrisy in the government and business. The polar opposite of the Daily Hate. Delivered every two weeks via subscription. Tram rides wouldn't be the same without it.

I used to enjoy Private Eye when I lived in England, but since I no longer follow British news I find most of it incomprehensible these days.

My opinion of the Daily Mail is well known, so I shan't bore you all by repeating it here.
