New Apple Macbook Pros

I was in the market for a new notebook - mainly because I can get one cheaper through the ETH's Neptun program.

However, the new Macbook Pros don't really convince me, for several reasons:

- the graphics board isn't really faster than the previous model's
- they now use a Quadcore processor, which probably is a good thing, but it only works at 2ghz. The previous i5 was only dual-core but worked at 2.4 ghz, giving it almost the same speed.
- battery life, due to the new graphics board and the quad core processor, is now 2 hours shorter (7 instead of 9 hours).

Would you buy that notebook?

Peter

No, because there'll be another new range in 6 months time, and like vwild I already have way too many (half of them are running Linux though)
