You do?

If I don't understand something someone on the internet says, I just presume it isn't worth knowing about.

If I later discover that it's a quote from an American comedian, then I'm obviously right.

Fair point.

I was thinking more of smug gits like the one being discussed here, and that irritating oik from the Daily Show.

Colbert is easily the funniest person on TV currently, and his show is the best place to get an unbiased news perspective.

I'm going to have to agree with this.
Can't stand the Daily Show, but the Cobert report is witty, in-depth, satirical and extremely funny---if the jokes don't go over your head.

I know of Colbert but haven't watched his show. I am a big fan of The Daily Show with John "Irritating Oik" Stewart.

Still making jokes about George Bush?

I know a good one about William Taft... do you want to hear it? I got me finger on the pulse, me!

Colbert and I went to the same high school (not at the same time). It was pretty well full of smug gits. Smart, but smug.

I used to watch the daily show, and of course that's where Colbert made his start, but Colbert's show has totally eclipsed poor Stewart. Still, Stewart has a stake in Colbert's project as well, so I'm sure he isn't that jealous.

I can't stand watching the daily show anymore. It's probably because of the Colbert caricature of o Reilly. Stewart plays himself, while Colbert is always in character and does it so well.

Ok...

Well, one must concede that America is pretty cool.

Any country that can fit peanut butter into such a wide variety of food products deserves some credit, surely?
