I'm in love with music (British/US music)...games...and statistics

I kindly ask to each and everyone in the forum to name bands/singers they think they haven't had the success they deserved or, on the contrary, they received too much attention relative to their ability.

To put it in another way you should name those artists that have been under/overrated by the mainstream media through the years.

You can name one, two or three artists in each category (under and overrated). You can decide to name a single overrated artist or 3 underrated and 3 overrated artists.

Example: you name X, Y and Z (in this order) as underrated: X will get 3 points, Y 2 points and Z 1 point. You name only X as underrated and X will get 3 points..full stop.
You name band A, B and C (in this order) as overrated: A will lose 3 points, B 2 points and C 1 point. Only A as overrated and A wil lose 3 points.

Each member will be able to enter his/her preferences only once during the competition so think well before posting

The game will close by the end of May. In the first week of June the names of the FORUM IDOL and the FORUM HYPE will be announced.

You can name POP ROCK artists from the 70s till today. It doesn't matter if they are still alive or passed away.

I would recommend listening to X-FM (manchester) 'Clint Boon's' segment.
its quite 'indie,' but he plays some really good 'new' tunes.

'Insiral Carpets' was/is his band.

If you like the strokes/white stripes/Glas-Vagas etc listen again. Its a good show if you like indie tunes.

Under rated; Phil Collins, Greatest Hits Live. (Sorry, but I saw him live in a Roman Ampitheatre, in NICE, Fr. One of the best live gigs ever. Shame he has just retired,,,,,,If you missed him live, go see the live show of 'Tarzan,' its his music. And if im not mistaken he married a swiss chick. He knows qulaity when he sees it!!!! )
