just thought i'd add another suggestion, since i recently return from there:

FANTASTIC island! maybe it has won the top on the favourite list (although i seem to say that every year....)

one definately needs a car. it's not touristic, you can find nice beaches where you can be almost alone (and we went 19-26 july), the food is great and the locals lovely.
