Slightly dissappointed with the ION processor, an under clocked passively cooled I5 would have been much better.

not so sure about that, actually. The dual core 1.8ghz ION they used isn't that bad - and I'm not sure they could've pulled off a passive-cooled system with an i5, even if it's underclocked.

It's a mini ATX mobo, spacing etc was designed for passively cooled chips, for HTPC etc. The ION is quite sluggish and used in Netbooks, some configs barely manage HD video and most modern games will be unplayable. Having said that, it will make a great MAME platform to run all the old C64 game which is what makes it that bit more special. It will be faster under the supplied Ubuntu, but Windows is really going to be out of place on it. It's a dual core 4 threaded CPU but I don't see it as a replacement PC for intensive work.

Congrats though , it makes me smile to look at it.

I'll have to check it out under Windows - the user reactions so far have been quite favorable.
