help re. phpBB3 localization problms

I can't get a phpBB3 install to run n italian, as much as I try.
I've installed the language pack, found the missing styles and uploaded those.
Been three times already in the admin backend (currently in german) looking for some way to activate at least an english interface, but nada.

Any tips from the many internet pros that hang out here?

Thx

Paul

An error message, screen shot or symptom would probably help...

There are no errors. Just the admin backend is in german and partially in english. And the forum itself is in german. And the users all speak italian

Ciao

Re: help re. phpBB3 localization problms

Since I am setting the whole thing up for italian users, the goal would be to have the forum itself in italian, the backend in english (currently only the login page appears in english, as soon as I'm logged it all turns to german. The admin backend is all in german).

Ciao

Re: help re. phpBB3 localization problms

Found the buggering problem.
I just removed the DE subfolderfolder from the Language folder, accessed the backend again and it was (finally!) in english.
Then I found the proper parameter to set it to italian.... phew.
One funny thing is that the backend still has a couple of buttons in Deutsch... can live with those I suppose ;-)

Thx peeps...
