I'm definitely not a fan of any British monarch wielding power in Australia, or in any other country independent of Britain. Nor am I advocating dictatorship (which looks rather similar to monarchy, to me). Fortunately, there's a third option: democracy. | | | | |
Constitutional Monarchy is not a dictatorship, be thankful Australia has it. Also democracy, define it and then apply it to a real world country.

This story by the daily mail is apparently not true, although the Prince of wales broach that Camilla wears looks identical to the one the queen Mother gave Diana as a wedding present, the one Charles gave to Camilla is bigger more diamonds bigger emerald. Diana's emerald was a teardrop, Camilla's is a rain drop. Also Camilla wears clothes where the crest is woven into the design of the fabric.
One thing I will give into is that at least he looks like he is in love.
The lip readers say that as she reached him from walking up the aisle he turned and said "you look beautiful" to her.
You have to admit this is funny though! http://www.washingtonpost.com/rf/ima...8iro3dH7cpQmit

My brother was probably in the crowd. Some of my sister's in-laws were probably in the abbey.

The yellow of the Queen's dress symbolized the sun, as well as the application on her collar. Probably a reference to the times when the Empire was so large that the sun never set. Plus all the guests in the Abbey were told not to wear that colour, so she can point out her uniqueness. In addition the priest also wore yellow. So through colours she managed to tell him that she is equal if not, well the Queen. It was a bow with total grandness.
Personally I think it's a smart choice.
I loved the wedding, what a show, what a couple.
Only the British can manage to do such an event with so much style and verve.
