My recent Spa discovery (Basel Area)

Just thought I would share these little gems with you who like to partake in a spot of relaxation.

I recently discovered the Bad Bellingen Spa (in Germany ) which is about 25 minutes from Basel. Very reasonably priced and a great place for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

It only cost 10 euros for the whole day to use the thermal spa pools, if you want to use the saunas as well, it's only 16 euros (but you must mingle with all the Germans in the noddy if you want a sauna - don't be shy )

http://www.bad-bellingen.de/en

They also have a Dead Sea Salt cave which is supposed to help with breathing problems and skin allergies etc.....

There are also two other spas, which are about a 45 minute drive from Basel direction Friburg

Bad Krozingen - http://www.bad-bellingen.de/en
Baden Weiler - http://www.badenweiler.de/en/cassiopeia_therme

Enjoy!

Re: My recent Spa discovery (Basel Area)

Thanks fidgety, I have made a book mark.

On the website they mention that loose shorts are not allowed. For me the 3 reasons are spurious, but it seems to happen
often these days. You can hire some "Proper" ones there for €2 plus a deposit.

Re: My recent Spa discovery (Basel Area)

We saw this on the map and were thinking of cycling there (from basel) and stopping for a dip. How much time do you recommend staying for? (just the hot springs)

Re: My recent Spa discovery (Basel Area)

Hi

Depends what you want.....we stayed there all afternoon from about 2pm-9pm, swimming, the steam room, sitting in the gardens and a massage. I could stay all day .

Enjoy your day.

Re: My recent Spa discovery (Basel Area)

Do you know if they supplied towels (even at a cost)? We don't have a basket on our bike yet or a backpack (forgot it in Scotland, will bring it next time). Thanks
