body suit/inner blouse?

I need to wear something nice underneath my dress to cover my tattoos. Something white or maybe skin color and hopefully skintight.

Im not sure what its called in english and would appreciate it so much if someone can tell me what its called in german (i tried dict.cc). Can anyone suggest shops where they have it? I found one in a trip to stuttgart last month but didnt think i would need it and it had short sleeves. I need one that covers 2-3 inches from my elbow.

We have only one day (half if we dont get a nanny for daughter) to look for final things needed for my big day so i hope to get as much suggestions. Thanks

Re: body suit/inner blouse?

Don't sport shops and underwear shops sell flesh coloured body stockings?

Re: body suit/inner blouse?

may be expensive but you can look in a wolford shop as well. if not you can always get a pair of tights and snip them to exactly what you want- sounds a bit ghetto but it may work and look decent for the little while you'll have it on...

for my big day

Okay, I'm suffering from "allergy brain" today so am not sure I've got this right... half-remembered (perhaps incorrectly!) previous posts together with this comment has me thinking you are wanting this for under your wedding dress? Is this so or... ?

Re: body suit/inner blouse?

Yes Peg, I think that is the problem here.

Would using some face foundation, make up, cover them enough?

Actually, yes, there are some sorts of foundation which are used to cover birthmarks and such which would work, as long as Steph isn't allergic to them. These can likely be purchased from the cosmetics counters at some of the better department stores. (Anything that would effectively cover port-wine stains would certainly cover tattoos as well.) This sort of makeup won't be cheap but it would be less of an eyesore than a sleeve-line on a supposedly bare arm.

I was getting a bit "stuck" on the thought of a sporting type bodysuit under a wedding dress. (It must be that vague Kentucky horse money branch of my family coming to the fore, "omg, you can not think to wear THAT under THAT! It simply isn't done! )

Stephanienie, what style of dress are you wearing? Would a bolero or a wrap work? Aside from the formal photos, is there any reason to worry what other folks will think of your tattoos?
