| | Giant asteroid heading close to Earth
The rock, named YU 55, which is quarter of a mile across, will pass between our planet and the moon in November and will be visible with small telescopes. |

I think it will pass very close to the moon. Average distance to the moon is 384'403 Km, and closest the asteroid will come to us is 325'00 Km, which means it will be maybe 60'000 Km from the moon.
Geo-synchronous stationary Satellites broadcasting TV programmes are at 36'000 Km, so there will be good reception for Eastenders and Big Brother.
