Be thankful you don't live in Denmark

Lucozade do produce a fruity drink with bits, along with their traditional drink. Probably that.

Re: Marmite lover?

Did they sell it anywhere there? I don't think it's bannned here but it's not exactly easy to find.

Is marmite really that high in vitamins and minerals that it could cause a threat? What does it mean for vitamin fanatics? Will their supplies be controlled too?

You can't eat it in great quantities anyway (otherwise your face turns inside out) so the concentrations of vitamins must be miniscule in any particular serving.

the daughter of a friend of ours used to spread it on toast like peanut butter !
( but she later turned into a crack head so maybe there IS something to be said for banning the stuff )

Re: Marmite lover?

All it needs is approval... It should pass.

"The sale of any foodstuff with the "addition of vitamins, minerals and other substances" must be first approved by the Danish authorities after a health scare over their effect on children or pregnant women when combined with other foods with high vitamin levels."

If not, then we hack the Nato Computers and swap co-ordinates from Libya to Copenhagen. Honestly, you think they would have learnt a lesson back in 1807...

Seems I'm boycotting danish bacon by default, as I can't bloody get bacon here. I'd crumble as soon as I saw it.

Don't the danish make something less tasty that could be boycotted?

Red Berry Porridge, but as only the Danish can pronounce it, nobody buys it anyway...

Denmark has banned the breakfast cereal Rice Krispies, saying its added snap, crackle and pop break noise pollution laws.
You couldn't make it up

Re: Marmite lover?

I particularly liked this comment

This is the best marketing ploy ever! Just put a big red label on all jars of Marmite saying 'ILLEGAL IN DENMARK'. You never know, 'ILLEGAL IN DENMARK' could become a fashion icon.
