Leaving CH for Canada - advise us please

I am an Asian living here since 2005. I would like to go to Canada with my wife(is a Swiss).
Toronto is my favorite place. I am interested in continuing my studies there ( Computer Science).
Finding a job and an apartment to live with my small family.
My wife doesn't like to live longer in Canada as its too cold. When I finish my studies and gather a bit of experience would come back to Switzerland. Maximum five years including studies.

I would appreciate any advices, instructions, opinions and etc. etc.

Thanks

Re: Leaving Switzerland

Maybe I shouldn't have moved this but it seems to me this is more about going to Canada than leaving Switzerland.
Hope you manage to get things sorted successfully.

You'll like Canada... unless you're moving to Yellowknife in which case you might want to stay in Switzerland.

Is there anybody living in "Yellowknife"

I would like the southeast or within Toronto. For me the trouble is I am living here in central Switzerland ,its just beuuuuutiful, but nothing to do, you are always inside the house.

How is it for a newcomer to find jobs and if I study how much can I work ?

Thanks

If you're interested in Comp Sci.

Waterloo (~1.5 hours from Toronto) is quite the hub for that industry.

University of Waterloo is a really good school for that and RIM (Blackberry makers) was founded and based there.

Very cheap to live in comparison to the T Dot.

also, the winters might be slightly colder, but summers in southern ontario are way hotter than CH. If you don't have good air conditioning, you'll have a hard time surviving.
