Ideal birthday present for a 7 year old girl? I think not.

I saw this linked on the BBC news site. How could anyone think that giving a 7 year old a voucher for a boob job is anywhere near appropriate? http://www.metro.co.uk/news/865754-h...r-her-birthday

This is sick. Call Social Services and take the kid away from that moron. (Dawg - never thought I'd ever say that- but honestly).

I think you have said it all there.

If I man did that for his daughter he would probably be locked up for grooming a minor.

Well now, if you have a mother who hosts swinging parties, and calls herself the Human Barbie, what would you expect!

Hopefully her daughter will grow up one day, and disown her.

On the bright side...she wouldn't have a problem finding a boyfriend.

500 000 pound on plastic surgery.....

That is what we call addiction. And she is teaching her daughter that addiction.

I feel very very sorry for that poor girl, even for the mother.

I know you were just joking with that comment, but curiously, don't most men find fake boobs to be rather gross?
I couldn't imagine being a man and getting it on with such a woman for the first time... only to realize that her boobs sound and feel like a water-bed.

Re: Ideal birthday present for a 7 year old girl? I think not.

As sad and sick as this story is, it's not the first time this woman has courted controversy at her childrens expense - a couple of months or so back it was the older daughter: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/columni...5875-22088655/

I think she is just seeking publicity and media attention, with a futile attempt at defying the passage of time (and gravity), but unfortunately seems to be influencing her daughters to the fact that this approach to perceived feminine beauty is completely the norm.

It seems to be more and more common, that certain unknown people are seeking celebrity status for no other reason than just continually trying to be in the public eye, at whatever cost.

Scroll down this site to see the media attention she has already received.

Why do social Services not get involved and give her a formal warning and keep an eye on her activities? This is child abuse of the first degree, surely?

Re: Ideal birthday present for a 7 year old girl? I think not.

In a weird way I think this woman's love for her daughters is as deep as any other mother and her daughters obviously love her. For now.

The woman obviously has some kind of warped perception about her own appearance and it is now infecting her view of her children and she is giving them the means to "rectify" it when they are older.

I don't think she is trying to "sexualise" her daughters - it seems to me like a projected form of body dysmorphia.

Very good point (about being a projected form of body dysmorphic disorder). But I do think it's also still a means of trying to make her daughters more sexually appealing to men. Sadly, I think a lot of women base their sense of identity and self-worth on how strongly they appeal to the opposite sex, which in turn can cause the disorder.

Why? What's she actually done besides give her daughter a piece of paper?

The only reason we all know about her kid's present is because she called the tabloids. It's a joke, she's just doing it for publicity so she gets in the paper. She doesn't give a rat's ass about her daughter.

It is not the 'piece of paper' that is the problem. It is the way she is treating her daughter without regard for her proper well-being.

Apparently, when she is 16.

It may well be a publicity stunt but, if that is the case, it is totally wrong to manipulate a child for personal motives.
