I don’t know how much use this might be to everyone, but I’ve recently come across DropBox and am finding it invaluable already.
In a nutshell, DropBox allows you to access your files, anywhere in the world. So any file you save to Dropbox also instantly saves to your computers, phones, and the Dropbox website. I’ve found that it’s really simple to share documents, and shared folders seem to allow people to work together on the same projects and documents. It’s great if you’re using it for a small business or project like I am.
Cleverly, you can also install Dropbox on your mobile which keeps your Dropbox folder at hand, even on the go. I find this really useful as a freelance graphic designer as I can quickly show people my portfolio when asked.
And the awesome thing, is that all your stuff is kept safe online!
It protects your files without you needing to think about it and it’s always synching. So if your laptop blows up, you still have access to the vital work that you can’t live without. Simples.
I’m still getting used to using it and applying all it’s functions to my day to day life, but I thought it was too good not to share!
