Re: Transfer data from HTC Wildfire to iphone 3

I am not at all tech savvy - in fact, I am clueless! I have been using the Wildfire, which I understand is Android, but I haven't got a clue what that means! My husband just offered to swap his iphone and I think I would prefer it ...

In addition to which, my SIM card appearead to be full so I had to store numbers etc to the phone, only to find that I could not access them.

Re: Transfer data from HTC Wildfire to iphone 3

By data, do you mean photos or contacts or videos or all ?

Logically, you need to get them off your PC in a non proprietary format. Try to find programs for each format/file type that exist both on the iPhone and Wildfire. These programs must be able to export/backup to a PC program/local PC drive. Once you can export each application/ file type to your PC, you can import them to the other phone.

Try to use a cloud service such as Flickr//Google/Hotmail/You-tube, upload them to these services and download onto the other phone.
or search the app store for export utilities...

Upload SIM contacts to the local memory on the Wildfire, delete off the SIM and then copy from iPhone local storage to the SIM and repeat the Wildfire upload from SIM.

Re: Transfer data from HTC Wildfire to iphone 3

Thanks UTH. I will show your instructions to my husband!! However, I am sure that when I first got my Wildfire I was just able to do something via infrared (or something) and everything was transferred automatically.

I am only really concerned about my contact numbers.

There is the option to Bluetooth everything over, but pairing the devices has proved a pain in the royal for me. Contacts should be easy if you have Hotmail or Google Mail as these store contacts online and all you have to do is sync.
