Something big in the making?!

I heard some rumours, without much details, that something big is in the making e.g. a country defaulting or some serious drop or rise in commodity or stock prices.

One source said within next 24-48 hours other said within next 2 weeks. Locations being either EU or Middle East.

Anyone else, heard or knows something? Some folks in Geneva I suspect would know

Re: Something big in the making?!

Yes, I heard rumours that something terrible would be happening somewhere sometime too!

Is it too late to run to the hills?

Could it be a beleaguered country selling its gold reserves to try and face up to its deficit ? Italy? Spain? (pure spec)

Are you privy to some insider information, Mr Wasted? Please do share. I have discretionary income to invest.

That's right wasted, spill the beans. I just got an email saying, that I'm the sole heir of King Wambuku's fortune....all I need to do is pay some small administrative fee and the fortune is ALL MINE! Therefore, I'd also be interested to invest some of the money.
Anyhoo, I'm off to Western Union.

Re: Something big in the making?!

Like I said, they are rumours and if I had some confirmation then I wouldnt be asking the intelligent EF members. (usual EF responses, as I initially thought)

Its either a major default, not just Greece or PIIS but could even be US or oil or commodity prices will take an unexpected turn, in favour of some Geneva based Hedge funds at the cost of other investors and interest holders.

Yes WE ALL KNOW.. something big is going to happen, for more than a decade ago, but point of my post is its within net 48 hours or week!

I would'nt buy into anything, maybe shares of Security companies or Armament and associated industries. Maybe short some commodities.

You can just short sell Switzerland, even if you dont make money, it will give you some pleasure I think

Fancy inviting intelligent members to answer such a moronic question!

Do you honestly think anyone with any genuine inside information is going to come on here and blab about it?

How old are you? Eight?

One thing for sure is that the hedge fund set are not making money in commodities at the moment, maybe a big one or two pulls the plug?

Well why not ? If somebody had some information, they have presumably acted upon it already to the max of their capacity, therefore by telling others and pushing the market swing would only be in their favour. In commodities insider trading doesnt exist as knowledge is king so......... fess up anyone that knows.

Well, I have been somewhat constipated over the last couple of days, so something enormous is definitely in the making

Mind you, rumour has it that prior to 9/11 there were some Israeli organisations pulling their money out of the US stock market..........

Seems the Maya calendar was misunderstood; end of the world is this year not 2012 - 1st August to coincide with the Swiss National day

I have a question pertaining to the Mayan calendar. How could they possibly foresee the end of the world....but completely failed to acknowledge their own demise.

You are much closer to what I heard. Some Geneva Hedge Fund managers who have substantial money invsted in Oil are planning to artificially swing the market in their favour by orchestrating something in Middle East, this week or next week. (Geneva based Hedge Fund managers of Israeli origin to be precise).

The trend in the Oil market, for the past few months has seen that lot of major/big investors are slowly and gradually moving their investments out of it leaving unsuspecting small time investors in.

Second piece of rumour is some country defaulting in next 48 hours, could be Greece or could be US walking our of it like its President out of that meeting.

IF they could foresee the end of the world back then, then it would mean that it was already ordained how it will happen. This would mean, they could also foresee their own demise. Knowing your future doesnt not always mean you can change it too, so the premise of your argument is not coherent.

What demise?

They just went underground: it's the Mayans who are responsible for this 'big thing' of which Wasted speaks.

And you thought the Rothschilds were bad!
