| Somewhere between Edinburgh and Glasgow...haven't made a housing choice, so we could live in either or anywhere in between. My husband will be working in West Lothian and since we prefer to only have the cost/trouble of one car, we will start looking in that area for housing.
Any tips or thoughts? We are a family with a young child, so definitely hoping to find a house with a garden. | |

Kirkliston is nice. You get a lot of house for your money in livingston but it's got no soul. Cramond is gorgeous and there's good bus links to everywhere is Edinburgh. The further outside of edinburgh the cheaper it gets and there are usually good services to get into Edinburgh. Bathgate and ratho are holes I would avoid. But I'm a snob and grew up in a nice area of Edinburgh!! Good luck.
