This thread is an offshoot of this thread here. Some of the posts about Amy Winehouse were rather judgemental, but I didn't want to deal with the matter over there and derail an already rather touchy thread, not least because I'd already received a really rather unpleasant PM from a disgruntled member in response to an innocuous post of sympathy I'd made there.

Of course, it's inconceivable that I might want to explore a moral conundrum without an ulterior purpose, as I'm obviously a complete wanker, so you're all correct. I'm up to something.

I was so embarrassed at posting something cringe-making on a public forum that, even though I was hurt by Assassin's perceived criticism, I decided I deserved the attack.
Assassin is obviously a perfect gentleman because he kindly sent me a personal apology even though, as it appears, his remark was not aimed at me.
In future I'll try to use what little addled brain I have left before making an idiot of myself.

Yes. I think as DB was stating the bleedin obvious in saying that he did not know her (Amy) some people felt it was a facetious remark. I feel that this all goes back to some of the comments in the threads concerning the last tragic loss much closer to home.
