Do you know your British cheeses?

How much do you really know about some of the British cheeses that you may be buying at the Viadukt etc.?

This little quiz from the BBC is just for fun

Cheese Quiz

(I managed 5 out of 7)

Done it - and I am no Grand Fromage - scored only 3/7 to my chagrin.

3/7, with purely random clicking., There was only one that I had any idea about. I think I need to be given a supply of British cheese samples, to increase my knowledge . ;-)

Re: Do you know your British cheeses?

But I lived for a very long time in Red Leicester and Stilton country- so should have known better.
Mozarella indeed. Mind you where we live now there is 2 herds of buffalo (in Val-de-Travers).

Mozzarella is so popular that the UK actually makes more Buffalo Mozzarella than Italy.

I did score 7/7 but only as I had a lucky guess with the Simpsons question... and the Doomesday Book question is a bit of a trick one...

Hehe! Seeing your score makes me feel better because I only got 2/7. Had to guess every one of them.
