? they say internet was a French invention....
No, Al Gore invented it. Everyone know that. (Actually, I think that "internets" developed in different times and places, but the one that eventually became the internet as we know it was made by American academics, the NSF etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Internet)

Apparently, history is written by the conquerors (of the internet)...

Baseball - the greatest game ever created

the NFL - the highest quality sports entertainment product ever created

I love American sports and sports culture.
Baseball is even more boring than Cricket!

The cost of getting driver licence - very cheap
Yes, but the upshot is that most Americans are incapable of driving correctly until they hit retirement age!

Now this might spark a debate, but I think one of the greatest things about the US is the media (movies, TV and music etc).

Sure there's a lot of crap in there, but there's also a lot of good stuff too, and a good majority of the rest of the world consumes it without regret.

You put your idea into the mass media, and regardless of how dumb or ridiculously biased they are, as long as has good production value and marketing (and the Americans are pros at this at a surprisingly deep psychological level) it will be consumed by the masses and worshiped as the truth.
True Blood, Dexter, Game of Thrones are all amazing US television shows.

Re: What's "Right" About America?

Bad times for America, atm...But fighting spirit is a right?...I'd say that's more a problem than a positive

Choice, I think that's the biggest 'right' or positive...The diversity of choices for a range of things typically has the US stand out in comparison to most countries, IMO...Of course, that says nothing of the quality of choices

For example, you can find an excellent curry or Thai cuisine for around $6 USD, per person...That's a tough find in Suisse or the UK

Game of Thrones is an HBO series and you can't stream HBO content unless you are a subscriber, which basically means you have to live in the US.

That's why I asked the question.

Nope, it basically means you have to discover alternate means of acquiring/viewing TV shows.
