| | What's your dream holiday destination?
I'm off for a soul searching & art holiday in the Cotswolds
What is your favourite style of holiday making or the dream destination you always wanted to visit ? Do you travel eco friendly? Or just go? Are there destinations you would never go, e.g. the Galapagos or the Great Barrier Reef?
Of course I fly BA. I was once part of the eye, but that was eons ago.
But this time the experience might be like this |

To go back to Kailua at some point - hopefully soon'ish as my 25'th reunion would be coming in a couple of years.
This is one of the beaches I used to hang out in my youth:
(Photo found here)
The waves on that beach are pretty decent for beginner surfers, a bit boring (mostly swells) but GREAT for swimming.
I'm enough of a beach and relaxation gal though that I'll be happy to rent some sort of a "nothing" hotel room nearby and bicycle to spend the day in the water. Some tea or cool fresh water to drink, some simple nibbles and I'd be all set.
Edit:
Thinking back to the summer I graduated, there was some sort of nature thing happening (algae bloom attracting them, spawning, something) that brought some phosphorescent organisms toward the beach so the last night I saw that beach, it was with glowing waves.

This sounds so fantastic. What a beautiful place to grow up
Hope you can make it for the reunion. That's so special.
I've never been to Hawaii, but it's definitely on my list.
The most beautiful beaches I saw were in Australia, Mallorca (some hidden spots) and California. On the more rough side: Scotland and Cornwall.

I'm really looking forward to going back to India! We went there for our honeymoon and would love to go back as a family once the kiddos are a bit older |

Guess what? We were also in India on our honeymoon
We travelled from Delhi-Agra-Rajasthan, Ahmedabad, Mumbai to Kerala.
I have such wonderful memories of that.
We will definitely go back, but little one is also a bit too young.

As a dream, and nothing else, Iran: for the architecture, the culture, the history and the food.
More realistically, Macedonia, Thessaly, Thrace and Epirus: for the same reasons.
A good holiday, for me, consists of a lot of sitting in cafes or tea houses absorbing the atmosphere, a bit of sightseeing and as little exposure to sunlight as possible.

I would always go back to Bora Bora (if it wasn't so far), it's the most beautiful place I have ever seen (and I've seen many). Google the photos - and when usually the destination is never as good, in case of Bora Bora, it actually is. Amazing.

OK, I googled Bora Bora and Moorea - now I want to go there
Luckily it's too far away.

I dream of Andalusia, Istambul, Morocco... All I really want from a holiday is to be enchanted.

I dream of Africa. Namibia is so nice, my friend went there once with her parents.
