| | Wifey Day Care [what does your wife do while you're at work?]
I already have a wife, but I was wondering what you all do with yours when you're away at work.
Are a bowl of water, some squeaky toys and free access to the kitchen sufficient to keep them occupied, or have you made other arrangements?

What's MN's opinion about your thread?

Toys, but not squeaky ones |

There is no solution other than to keep them working. There is always something else to be done. Home study. Reading around the topic. Memorising stuff they learned 11 years ago. Work. There's no replacement.

I got CJ chipped and trolley trained. I no longer panic about her going to the shops on her own. Of course, once I get her front-door-key trained, she will be able to let herself in before I get home.

I'm actually wondering what hubby does, because his schedule looks quite tame compared to mine. And while I'm thinking about it: I'm sure wifey does much more work than hubby
Just because you asked:
From 05.00-21.00 I do
Feeding little one, making break fast, going out for food shopping or running errands, playing with little one, making lunch, working, house hold chores, cooking dinner, outing with little one, putting little one to sleep (huge business) - and finally doing my stuff and my work.

Oh, and DB, pretty sure MN brings home some of the bacon... While my significant "manly" other works, I also work. In fact, pretty sure I work more than him and still come home to cook dinner.

Maybe we should ask the new Duchess of Cambridge about that one?

We actually need an extra wifey in our house, in that case. I work more hours in a day than my husband and still have all the wifey stuff to do when I get home.
Hubby does a bit, bless him, but he's still on an old operating system and I can't seem to find a downloadable file for an upgrade. Any ironing, dinner-shopping or bog-cleaning plug-in would do.

After my breakfast has been brought to me, I send mine outside for the rest of the day to commune with The Nature.
Typically, this involves digging ditches, logging trees, rotivating garden beds, cutting hedges and the like - good character-building activities, I'm sure you'll agree
If the weather is unusually inclement, I allow her back into the house for a short period so she can have the pleasure of making my lunch, then it's back outside to play til six o'clock. Later if it's not winter.

My mate's wife spent all day looking through the windows. When he came home from work he let her back in the house |

She has her toys, and I keep her supplied with batteries, it's a win-win situation!

I do 90% of the cooking, and used to to the laundry as well until my girlfriend begged me to let her do it!
Kids feed themselves, and no-one eats breakfast or lunch (well, maybe some nibbling).
