Riding around Neuchatel?

I am looking to meet some people to go riding with (motorcycle) around the Neuchatel area. I am of the follow-the-speed-limit, stay-in-the-lines, be-safe and-wear-protective-gear variety of riders and am looking for the same. At the moment, I am free in the daytime and would love to get out and enjoy the weather.

Re: Riding around Neuchatel?

Hmmm...do you think that means there are no english-speaking riders in the area or no one wants to ride super-safe-grannie-style with me?

Hope you find people to go out with. If you come my way, do pop in for coffee.

Re: Riding around Neuchatel?

you need to ask for the thread title to be changed - I thought this would be about horses.

or create an event in the calendar for a ride-out and title it "Motorcycle ride-out from Neuchatel"

Re: Riding around Neuchatel?

Yep, I also thought it was going to be a horsey thread. Not that I ride those either mind you, so it wouldn't have made much difference.

I have never been on a motorbike in my life, but I can definitely see the attraction of doing the mountain pass roads by bike rather than in a car. Hope you will find some people .

Re: Riding around Neuchatel?

I thought it was about horse riding too. Mind you I'm with Stephen as I don't ride either (never been on a motorbike and hate horses) but can see it could be easier on some of the roads on a motorbike.

Hope you find someone to ride with.

Re: Riding around Neuchatel?

You see ..... I knew it was about throbbing metal, because I remember when she was looking for the bike(s) - although not obvious from the title.

I would love to get some more miles on the clock (hardly done any this year), before the old girl rots away, but just have so much on my plate at the moment, as it's nigh-on impossible to justify any time for personal pastimes.

Having just moved from near the VorAlps (Pre-Alps), (which - dare I say it - have become a bit boring familiar), into Seeland (well, almost), I am also looking forward to getting up in the Jura (again - haven't been for over 10yrs.)

Would even be prepared to adapt my riding style (but I can't would prefer not to sit in or behind traffic).

But until the carport roof is built, my bike is still at my old house (under cover), which also adds a complication.

So, nice idea ... but .....

.... sorry (for now).
