I think you had better delete that post Jobsrobertsharpii, or you might pick up a few groans.
That punishment will not help the offender at all. He may already be getting beaten up at home, he may already be watching pornos on his dad's computer. Beating the crap out of young offenders produces young people that enjoy beating the crap out of anybody. This has been very well documented hundreds of times, and adding pain to sexual problems doubles the dangers of producing another rapist with a desire to hurt his victims.

Properly administered corporal punishment can be an effective disciplinary tool. At younger ages children oftentimes do not understand complex causalities and rationales, irregardless of how simply adults try to explain these concepts; or, further they do not see how these concepts relate to themselves. However, children of this age DO understand the simple causality of "if I do this, I'll get my bottom spanked, and I don't like that, so I won't do this." | | | | | TBH, normally I wouldn't disagree with you (much). But in this case I think that specialist help is needed. This isn't just stealing biscuits from the corner shop.

I would have thought "Parenting," "Complaints Corner," or another would have been proper.

Quite true. I think that a lot of it stems from the environment the parents create at home. Children need to know, however it may be done, that Mommy and Daddy (ideally both are there) are in charge and that yes means yes and no means no.
Oftentimes, I think the ones most in need of specialist help are the parents, and perhaps mainly in the area of how to parent. Often adults just simply do not know what to do when their children misbehave, or even how to properly reward their children for good behavior. I think most parents follow their parents' example to some degree and sometimes lie awake, hoping and praying they are doing the right thing.

I'm sorry this happened to your daughter. I would be distraught if it happened to mine. Textoch's idea of talking to the school counsellor or your daughter's teacher sounds good, not to make accusations but to ask for advice as to how to proceed.
Hope you and your little one both recover quickly.

I think this needs to be dealt with by a professional. In most communes there is a counselling service for parents. I think this would be useful foir the parents of these boys.
As for your daughter, I see the young girls around your daughter's age on my street mainly play with other girls. We have a lot of kids in our neighbourhood so there is plenty of choice. They do walk to school in mixed groups, but that seems to be all.

No - you are right Chris - it isnt good to label kids. But they need to learn that any behaviour with regards to compromising modesty of the opposite sex is wrong.
As this is not the first time, the behaviour needs to be addressed by a professional and determined the appropriate consequences. I am glad that both parents of the boys are mortified. They should be. But that isnt enough - the school also needs to be informed.
If it happened to my daughter, heads will be rolling and these two boys will never think of pulling down any trousers again - except their own.
