Personification is for objects/ideas given human characteristics. Like Pratchett's description of (possibly, can't remember) Magrat having hair that looked like it had been style by a whirlwind with treacle on its fingers.

They aren't terms that are used together. It's one or t'other. Anthropomorphism is a form of personification. The Discworld fandom is a lovely site but it's not infallible.

If you've read the book, you would know that Pratchett himself uses them together, when Death is looking for a job ... the person behind the desk asks what experience he has, and he says he is an anthropomorphic personification, to which the interviewer asks what that is, and Death says, "THIS." and lets the interviewer see ... here's an amateur performance of the scene in question.

So it's not the Discworld fandom site which put them together first, it was Sir Terry Pratchett himself. I was simply quoting a master.
