Re: Word of Today

We Eskimo kissed with parents when we were kids. It was a little variation of the 3 Swiss kisses, coz we kissed first and then Eskimo kissed. Probably quite strange to watch. I like family rituals.

Rituals. What are people's rituals they keep and enjoy? Why is our behavior organized in patterns we purposely build and follow.. Then include other people in ours, share them. Make new ones. Patterns appear to me easily, cyclic stuff, I try to not follow them, afraid of losing mindfulness and having not enough challenge, but I think it might be silly.

Experiments.

I'm also intoxicated in wonder about the patterns we make and break, MC, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. I like some patterns in a relationship - those things that enhance your feeling of being consumed in a bubble of intense passion and connection to another... That secret world that only the 2 know...

Re: Word of Today

I think about these intimate microsystems with our own patterns we create, rules, adaptability, flexibility.. It can be smart and efficient. Any functional bond is this way. And more precious it is, more secret this exchange will be. Exposure is not bond conducive, society does not welcome too much individuality.

I do think about what we impose on ourselves in order to function, what expectations society pushes and we refuse defensively because those particular societal patterns are not in the end healthy for us as individuals.

Anyways, speaking of helpful patterns, the word for today probably is mnemonics. I repeat this word, I know, but Dominic O'Brien is inspirational.
