Re: Word of Today

My today's special word pet peeve is self-indulgence. It's a good word defining something ugly.

I'm eating a pretzel after less than two hours since I had dinner: I know what you mean.
And I'm browsing the net although I have lots of things that I must read. Ugly.

I think you de-peeved me. Pretzels are always good. I think I get peeved by unrecognized self-indulgence. I indulged in a gym, painful and self-investing . Must-read stuff can wait. The air smells so magic, tonight. Warm.

Frenemies...

a good (real) friend from the UK mentioned that to me the other day and I'd never heard it before. For those so-called friends who are constantly digging at you and stabbing you in the back, but suddenly become your friend again when they need something from you (ditch them, I say, life's too short).

Or opportunists, and those are available in all strata. I am a fan of ditching them, too.

Re: Word of Today

Why mermaid? merboy, merwoman, merman, merpeople For me, "The Magic School Bus".

I found that Cenovis and Vitam-R are similar to Marmite.

I wish, Cenovis is a tad too granola tasting for me compared to Marmite, but I bet it's as healthy (minus the aluminum tube, ick).

Mermaid..yeah, good point, I have no idea of the actual etymology, but maid used to mean simply a girl, if I remember well.

Magic School Bus sounds great...will watch it. When I am done with Portlandia, hahah.

Re: Word of Today

Cenovis comes in jars as well, just in case you change your mind.

I am not sure you will be into "The Magic School Bus" because it's a cartoon series for kids, which gets watched a lot around here.

Re: Word of Today

Excellent word choice above, glow is great too.

Torrid.

I miss deserts, in fact.. And people who live in them. Maybe we can embrace the heat these few days.
