Halva.

Thanks for Manor and their reaccuring special oriental days, I have been hooked since I turned 16, vegan and had some amazing halva sweetened with grape juice at Seven King's Food For Thought.

Halva is the best. Bears ordinary peanur butter anytime.
Halva is indeed a fine thing. I must confess that I haven't found or thought of any really good non dessert uses for it - I have tried crumbling it on honey garlic chicken before cooking (which was fine, but the garlic tends to overpower the sesame).

I also add some to crumble on apple or rhubarb crumble.

Any ideas?

Re: Word of Today

Home is a good word. Fall break for today.

I feel halva has been cooked a lot, to cook it even more, I never experimented with it, tbh. It is interesting, I think guys experiment differently in the kitchen. It is more of a chemistry lab for my brothers, and an operation table for my Dad. It is true that he has scalpels and forceps in all sizes in their kitchen draws. It's an art atelier for me, my daughter and my Mom. Intuitive magic.

Crumble is heaven. I started putting a bit of cinnamon on plum crumble, or - a bit of marzipan on a nectarine one. Rum isn't bad, either, on plums. What's your recipe?

Otherwise, peanut butter gets put in Asian stirfry or salad dressing, or on bread with Marmite and gruyer. We don't eat it sweet.

Another word - Experiment. Love it.

Re: Word of Today

So my Swiss (French) niece is moving to an old châlet soon- and she is asking for suggestions which would say all those things in 1 (or 2) words:

future
sucess
dynamism
renewal

in English- or indeed any language. Any ideas?
