Gotta love the British show Pointless. You can learn many new words watching it, and both sea and hear the man who gives Danger Mouse his voice.

Naah, DM still speaks with David Jason's voice in my head. I didn't realise they'd rebooted it, TBH, but it seems that nearly all my childhood favourites have been ruined like this. (Having said that, I imagine that Alexander Armstrong does a good job of it.)

So many really good English words I probably haven't used in decades. This reminds me, for very different reasons, of a couple more.

Mardy - always make me remember the kid up the street who would take his football home with him if he was losing, and

Clarty - a Northern Dialect term I learned from my first wife, often used for food, meaning sticky and unctuous.

How about Glühbier (mit Schoss)? It hit the spot at a cold, rainy Weihnachtsmarkt.

You probably mean "mit Schuss", as "Schoss" is the lap or also womb

Not heard of Glühbier before (yes, I found out it exists). So another thing yet to try for me.
