Actually it does make a difference, otherwise Boeing and Airbus would be developing the same aeroplanes...
You don't choose your plane, no. However, the options given to you by different aircraft means airlines can offer you better faster options and airlines will select their aircraft accordingly.
So no, you don't choose directly, but if you look at my post, I don't really ask that do I? I asked what you, my fellow EFers, think the market will want.
