How'd you come across that anyhow? What were you searching for that it yielded that as one of the results - I entered "yawn fest" in Google and it didn't turn that up for me. |

I sort of feel like responding to them..... but I won't. | Quote: | | | | | How'd you come across that anyhow? One time I was searching something like Evita Fact or Fiction after seeing the movie. And a blog post bitching about EF turned up! Weird. | Quote: | | | | | Any idea what Esperanto women look like? Have to admit, curiosity somewhat peeked... | Quote: | | | | | | | | | Ooooh, a created language. I see.
Still, perhaps learning it first will help me learn Hoch Deutsch which will help me learn Baseldüütsch... | Quote: | | | | There is evidence that learning Esperanto may provide a superior foundation for learning languages in general, and some primary schools teach it as preparation for learning other foreign languages. | | | | | Ahh... wiki, where would I find things out without you?

ok. i'll post an interesting fact. esperanto is linked to the the death of a pregnant woman and 5 children during world war 2.
the deaths were caused by hydrogen balloon bombs launched by the japanese and carried by the jet stream to america. the japanese got the idea from this from a scientific paper published in esperanto.

Delusional much? | | | | | I was reading the responses up to this point, when, IMHO, they went from having a position (with which I disagree) to being extreme and irrational.
Esperanto is as likely to replace English, or any other major language, as binary code is to replace English, or any other major language.

I'm not going to look to see if his assertions are true... but it seems he's got some valid points.
