( she took today off for some strange reason.. and just phoned to say that she hopes I don't mind but we are just having egg's on toast for dinner tonight as she will be pretty busy all day... me thinks I smell a rodent. )

I am thankful for:

1. A loving family
2. Real friends
3. Good health
4. A good standard of living
5. The ability to live in a safe environment where I can give my opinion
6. A good education (for all members of my family)
7. Respect for being me (female)
8. The many blessings I have received over the years - and those to come.

Im thankful for my sprained ankle. Its a sign that ive been over exerting,overwalking this week so i will stay home today and catch up on housework before hubby comes home this weekend.

...not being obliged to eat turkey....

. . .all three kids arrived last night safe and sound.
. . .the two turkeys in the fridge ready to be roasted this afternoon to feed 27 people I love.
. . .a whole grocery store shelf devoted to brown sugar.
. . .the plane ticket in my handbag that gets me back to Switzerland on Saturday afternoon.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. If you are with your family today, no matter what country you are in, give them a hug.

I'm thankful for walking a higher path.

....the fact I am still here when sadly others aren't

....the fact that I have a clever, beautiful daughter.

....the man that I am with.

....the friends that love me and who I love in return.

I'm thankful there was no-one else in the the ladies loos just now...

- for my child and his steps into a future that I shall not know, and I pray that I have given him the right tools to, one day, stand on his own with confidence
- for quietude and serenity
- for having listened to the music of a very different drummer since forever
- for others.. simply.. it's a privilege

I am thankful for the following:
1. Good health
2. New job
3. Random (Swiss and non-Swiss) angels who have been very helpful
4. Free unlimited good coffee and tea at work
5. Christmas is so near!!! yehey!

Being able to enjoy lunch and a bottle of wine outside on the terrace in the sunshine with friends

I am thankful for all creatures fluffy and cute.

Today I am thankful for:

1. Being deadly sick - being bombarded with viruses from vaccines means I will be able to go on a volunteering trip

2. A particularly difficult client - it means I have a job

3. My mom who nags me - it means I have a mom

4. An argument with the OH - it means we stand equal and are not afraid/feel safe to express our (strong) opinions to each other

5. The prospect of beer(s)+bagel(s) at the Viadukt with friends later to forget all the above
