I am thinking about buying a camera as a birthday present to my daughter(she will be turning 9). She loves taking a photos and does a relatively good job at it and takes well care of her stuff.

I just don't know what kind of camera will be suitable for her, does anyone have any recommendation? There are so many out there to choose from! I am looking for just a basic digital camera that is light and easy to handle.

I appreciate any feedback.
