Strictly speaking they are still vegetarian unlike the fish eaters who wrongly try to pass themselves as vegetarian. Vegetarian is about the diet. For example someone could be vegetarian because of loving animals while someone else could be because they think it is a better diet.

I knew a woman who did not care about animals but just found eating flesh disgusting, she wore leather though. It is the putting meat in the mouth part that she did not like So by definition she was still a vegetarian.

Vegan is the whole combined 360° outlook.

Btw I am vegetarian because of animals and also because I think it is a much healthier diet. Even though I am not 100% vegan by definition I still don't buy leather goods. My shoes are canvas or made of modern materials. No leather clothes, wallets, belts, sofas etc either. If there is hidden animal content in any product then I can't do much about it. Point is that I don't actively buy leather.

Alas, they didn't have a whole one, so I got two front quarters (more ribs, plenty of skin), and the smoker is coming up to temp!

Yep, however much you want to be a vegetarian because you dislike or disagree with killing animals you are actually using (dead) animal products.

The best we can do is choose ethically reared and killed animals.

I am glad you finally see how exploitive we humans have become For almost everything we are screwing animals. There are many alternatives and for the ones there are not let us join and demand a change.

Personally I love my meat and can't go a day without some. (Especially being back home where the cuts and choice of meat is far superior to CH) but this point does hit home. I love my cats more than anything in the world, they're are my family and my best friends, but I also love eating pussy, so I'm conflicted.....

Hopefully same as what the options for child marriage, under age sex and human meat are in developed nations.

Anyways. It's good people present their ideas and experiences. It always seems that those who are pretty comfortable with their point of views dont need to advertize it or make much noise about it...unless, of course, they have an agenda, or sumfin.

I miss the vegan crowd a bit, the non self raighteous folks, since I appreciate people going against the mainstream, having guts, making sacrifice..But I would want to make them a good beef soup at times, my friends hate me for it, but I guess thats my kind of TLC..

In the offline world I hardly say anything to anyone and have never said to any non veg person to stop eating meat. I don't expect or have ever asked for special treatment at any event. At worst I go hungry if there are no veg options. I must say that mere mention of being vegetarian sets off lot of non veg people in the real world.

Anyway bottom line is that I don't like animal suffering. It got to me as a child and it gets to me now. Maybe(or definitely) I am wired wrong compared to most. I know I can't change the world but do hope that the world would change.

My teeth were never loose, just know that some vegan chicks can go without ovulating, missing cycles, the teeth go see through and nails brittle, even if they watch out for nutrition, since the absorbancy of necessary stuff might be blocked or low. I am not questioning your quest, only wondering if this forum is the most efficient for some world changing grand scheme..

Campaigning is all fine and dandy, just that it might get really old if every single thread on meat will have vegies trying to advertize on non meat options , I appreciate you starting a your own, special thread on it, that's all.

Anyways. At least it made me recall the non animal product years, it was fun.

Hey I did not jump into any KFC threads On the whole I stayed inside relevant threads. Either way from tomorrow I won't be posting. It takes way too much time to debate and in the end everyone stays stuck in their ways anyway. So all kinds of THIS vs THAT debates are pointless in the end.
