| | Moderation Inconsistencies Rife on EF Can I have more insight into EF Mods? How does it work? Who are these people? How do they achieve Mod status? Do they talk to each other? Are they friends with others users? Why are their moderations never consistent? A few examples: - The usual suspects groan my posts. Either my opinion doesn’t fit theirs, or I am not worthy of posting an opinion. Fine - I groan other posts I don’t like. They bad rep or personally message me to whinge. - I like to read the opinions of people who groan me. Sometimes I don’t like what I read. I groan them. I get warning. - I read a thread in Daily Life wanting tickets for football game. Its not moved. I don’t care - I post thread in general off topic, regarding same football game, but what the experience of people who have attended said stadium have sampled in going. My thread gets moved, to Sports, not daily life. Anyone care to explain? |

Now that you mention it, you didn't like me saying that I lost my virginity earlier than I thought?
Why?
And no I didn't groan back or bad rep you for it. |

Something considered as a groan frenzy. Hence the warning.
While you get groaned by other people, it seems it's several people and certainly not on all posts.
The only costant in all the cases is you it seems.

This practice is highly frowned upon on the EF and therefore, you don't necessarily have the sympathies of everybody on the forum. Take it easy...relax, take a load off. Sometimes, you just have to take certain posts/remarks with a pinch of salt.

Moderating is done by volunteer individuals, with individual ways to react and therefore cannot be consistent as such. Must say it's made me laugh a few times when a post is moved several times in a few minutes by different moderators - but so what?
They do a great job and the Forum couldn't really exist without them- and for that I am very grateful, Merci.

while nobody would expect pinpoint consistency close to a nanometer, it is somewhat obvious that it their consistency is far too spread apart at points.

you do appear to be a bit of a dick, groaning posts for no reason and on threads you have not participated in, drive by groaners are one thing that really pisses me off.

Is it forum support? I dont want or need support.
Just a general off topic query where I am interested in peoples opinions.

(Despite being the champ ) I'm a little hypocritical as well at times...and just like you, when I first joined the forum, I was an obnoxious, $hithead poster....well, thanks to some mod-facilitated vacations, little has changed over time..but I've learned to share and distribute my pile of nonsense amidst usefullness..like that, I can maintain a healthy, harmonious balance. See, you're barging in and expect everybody to group hug ya and smother you with love...whilst, this forum is a pool of information and, you need to learn how to simmer down.

And no, as I have stated before, there is Etiquette.drive-by groans and groan frenzies on a single thread do not constitute proper one.
If you disagree, multiquote and argue. The purpose of the groan is for disagreeing on a few comments, not the whole thread worth.
