Thanks ChristianK, but that site doesn't seem to want to work for me... I can get to it, but when I try to select the Mac type, nothing happens...

Re: iWant an estimate from you Mac luvvies

More than a year old (so no guarantee), lower than current spec, current model sometimes on special at about 1500 chuff.

Anything more than 1000 chuff isn't really saving money unless you are awfully strapped for cash. If it's a good friend whom you trust, you may want to offer the 1000. If it's a private deal, offer 500 and settle at 750.

If the seller is Swiss, they will not accept that computer equipment depreciates, and will expect you to offer 1899 chuff.

Let us know what happens.

Of course, if you want a computer to do actual work, you will need to get a PC....

No, Macs are like artwork- they just sit there and look all modern and pretty and stuff... They don't actually do anything...

No. You are right. They haven't made macs yet that actually do the work for you.

Having just watched someone editing movies on a decently powered Mac and waiting literally hours for sequences to process that would have taken minutes on any low-end PC, I have to admit that is close to the truth.

At that age, it's 24".
Or is it a 24" that comes with an additional, brand-new 27" display?
The 365 CHF quoted above seem reasonable - though I'd have to see someone bid that amount before I would shell them out myself.
