I'd have traded that a while back. I was desperately trying to learn to play bass guitar. I got as far as the intros for My Sherona and Man on the Moon before I gave it up as a bad job.

It's not like we all have to play like Pastoris or Minutement, seriously. All it needs is soul. And not tripping over the cables, everything else is a matter of presentation. And a bit of sense of rhythm, pitch, it pans out after a while. Or maybe I am just a genius, eeeek. Not really, but guts help, that's for truths.

When I briefly moved to bass (part time), my goals were the bass solo from "My Generation", the the bass part from "Karn Evil 9" (plus some "Yes" stuff).

Been there, done that, moved back to guitar (though I still love doing the bass for "Boris the Spider").
