I think most people are aware of the other forum now, it would be very interesting to know how EF's traffic stats have been holding up recently.

the local have no respect for the members here, really, they couldn't care less, they only care about traffic, ad revenue, and posting there totally worthless shit 'news' stories, the mods are stuck between a rock and hard place.

What does that mean?

It sounds to me as if the EF is scared of defectors and is trying to prevent it by East Berlin style walling off of references to the outside world.

If people want to leave they will leave, so deleting such links is not helping the EF survive in any way. But frank and open discussions are what has made the EF so strong and attractive, and part of that is the ability to link to and cross pollinate from outside discussions and threads to include rather than exclude those communities. It seems to me that the EF owners are on a dangerous path of denial and splendid islotaion.
