| | A minimum of respect please?
English forum has great people contributing in here. Lots of those people did give moral support, help and guidance to everyone who asked for it.
When someone decide to leave the forum for personal reasons and want to inform the members of their decision and why, the minimum respect to give to them is to accept their decisions and their reasons.
I am very disappointed of the mod who took the decision to trash Porsch's farewell yesterday. It is disrespectful and bad manner. I waited to see if the thread would have been back where it belongs after some members mentioned it but nope, still nothing.
If long time members are treated this way, what does it says about the forum? The forum is what it is because of the members. |

Do you therefore, find it acceptale, to trash Paul, the rules or the new terms and conditions every chance we get?

It was closed because it is forum policy to close goodbye threads.
It was trashed because the existence of another forum was acknowledged, and that isn't allowed by some bloke in Munich who tells lies about our friends. |

Instead to close the thread, mods could have ask to stay on topic. They could have done some moderation instead to close it and drop it in the trash.

LOL
It was quite interesting looking at the list of 'rep rankings' and seeing that there are still many forum legends quite high on the list even though they were banned/left many moons ago (Lob, DaveA, gregv, peachy just to mention a few) after the first major change after Mark passed away. Also many of these peoples threads still live on today.
cheers

I bet our friend in Munich wishes he could close the Viadukt, Facebook and Swiss telephone companies and send them all to trash.
There'll be a few of us at the Viadukt this evening, if anyone is interested. |

Do you really think so?
I thought it was the timely and though-provoking analysis from The Local that keeps us coming back.

I don't mean to be unwelcoming, but if you find EF so offensive why not just take a break from reading/posting. I care very little for inter-forum politics, but I do care about maintaining a friendly atmosphere on here, and constantly sniping at people doesn't help. The point has been made, can we please move on now?
Cheers
